If alien abductions are demonic activity, then surely they know from their demon communications network "who is ripe for the picking".

First off, we need to discuss what we mean by a Christian. Are we talking about a "Christian" who was baptized, yet does not have any inclination to seek Jesus, or to make Jesus the most important person in his or her life? In short, did this person actually make the necessary heartfelt commitment to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior?

When a Christian truly receives Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit enters that their body, soul and spirit. God has claimed that person for His own. Concomitantly, it is impossible for demons to occupy the same place as the Holy Spirit. So, a Christian cannot be demon possessed!

When a true Christian even calls on the Holy Name of Jesus--demons flee post haste. However, many good and true Christians are under the false impression that they are safe from demonic "attacks". This false sense of security is actually a favorite way satan uses to get in.

OUTSIDE ATTACKS (the Spiritual Battle all around us):

Satan knows this real Christian is protected from possession, and he knows this person's good is in conflict with his own plans. That is why satan tries so hard to get to other people who come in contact with this person, and have his demons or demonic influence control or affect that person. Satan and his demons try to plant thoughts or to affect the thinking process of even real Christians, yes! Satan and his demons will always try to lead real Christians into immoral and sexual situations. He tries to get through our "armor" via our human weaknesses.

Read in the Bible the story of Ananias and his wife for an example of demonic influence. Peter himself asked them why they had allowed Satan to fill their hearts to lie to the Holy Spirit. These two were Christian believers, yet they lied about the disposition of their property.

The very best example of the type of demonic satanic attacks I can give you is the apostle Peter who truly loved Jesus. How else can we explain Peter denying the Lord 3 times? Satan certainly worked hard on Peter that day. The Lord knew it and warned Peter in advance, as you recall.
