China's craving for oil is the least of problems driving prices you say? China is going through a rapid industrialisation process which means lots and lots of oil. China is making deals with South American and Middle East countries. It's consumption of oil was up 15% just last year. China's industrialization and its new found love for cars is competing for oil big time.

We aren't talking about a small country with a small population like Britain. We are talking of a country of over a billion people who will go to war on the drop of a dime...

The cause here and now is the big giants like Exxon Oil reeking in prophets and gouging us right now, and in Europe their own Governments whose taxes are 70% or so of the cost of gas.

China, however, is looming as an up and coming problem also as they vie for oil with us to fuel their huge emerging economy --based on their trade imbalance with us and their illegal copying. Chinese love for cars is now taking off also.

The only hope is alternate fuel sources like hydrogen...

Proof that the Chinese see things differently than we do:

If you cannot decipher it, then try pulling the corner of your eyes as if you were Chinese. It works!

THE OIL SHORTAGE;

A lot of folks can't understand
how we came to have an oil shortage
here in America.
~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.
