Steve K,

Well said my brother. This last weekend, while visiting my brother in another city, we had a discussion concerning the Sabbath. As with most Christians, he was unaware of the day of worship being changed back in 313 A.D. I don't know whether he'll start observing the Sabbath or not, but at least now he's aware of the issue.

Resolving the issue in one's mind isn't an easy one. Once one has been made aware of the issue, then it's up to them to seek God's truth through constant prayer and reading God's word to resolve it. Many people, even after being made aware of the issue, simply refuse to open their mind up to what God's word actually says, rather than challenge the tradition that's been instilled in them. We are living in times that are consistently challenging the word of God. Many have already fallen to the delusion that the greatest deceiver of all has orchestrated.

The Sabbath is a day of beauty. Now that I understand that, I'll never give it up. To rest, reflect on God's creation, and spend time of undivided fellowship with him is spiritual in the purest form. I have found, and you will too, that what's written in Isaiah 58:13 is totally true.

” 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Since observing the Sabbath, I've been lifted up to those "high places" in every way. Spiritually, emotionally, finacially, physically,...and the list goes on.Some reading this might not believe it, but as the Lord is my witness, it's absolutely true! But I will also tell you in absolute sincerity, I've also been challenged more in my spiritual walk with Christ than I've ever been in my life. Many of my secular desires that lead me to sin have come back to challenge me again. Many, in the exact same order. It's as if God is making it perfectly clear to me, " These are the things that tempted you before, and you turned away from me. Here they are again.I've filled you with my holy spirit, and you know the truth. Now, what are you going to do?"

I'm happy to say that I've stayed the course. Please pray for me though my brother.Satan has attacked me with every weakness he knows I have. While dealing with my wife's cancer, at times I'm physically, and emotionally drained. The Lord has empowered me at my weakest times, but it's the prayers of many in the body of Christ that has sustained me.Please pray for my wife Emily also. God has only given her to me for a time. I know she is his, but I pray that he have pity on me and allow me more time with her. God bless you, and each one here.

Shalom
